Many families struggle through the holidays to afford traditions that many of us take for granted - like a holiday meal. They need your help. Last Thanksgiving the Hays County Area Food Bank gave a turkey and a box filled with the trimmings for a holiday meal to over 1100 families in need throughout Hays County. Your donation can help us do it again this year. This years Turkey campaign runs from October 21st-November 17th. Since 1984, the Food Bank has been on the front lines feeding hungry people in Hays County. Their mission is the feed hungry people, because no one in Hays County should go hungry. The Food Bank helps about 2600 families a month, including seniors, low-income families with children, the sick and disabled, the homeless, and others suffering from hard times.
