On Tuesday, December 4th, the Seguin WIC (Women, Infants, and Children Program) office will begin operating at its new site, located at 1409 N. Hwy 123 Bypass in Sendero Plaza. The current office, located at 1500 E. Court Street, will permanently close at 11:30am on Thursday, November 29th.

The Seguin WIC phone number will remain the same: (830)372-3336. Phone service may be interrupted during the move, but will be restored by the afternoon of Friday, November 30th. The State of Texas WIC office can be contacted at 1-800-942-3678.

The purpose of WIC is to give children the best possible start by providing optimal nutrition during the critical stages of development. Families participating in WIC receive nutrition education, breastfeeding support, supplemental foods, and referrals to various health and social services.

The Seguin WIC office is one of five administered by the City of San Marcos. An average of 1,800 Guadalupe County residents are served each month through the Seguin WIC office. The WIC Program is funded by the Food and Nutrition Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture through the Texas Department of State Health Services.
