Officer in dog death gets oral reprimand, counseling
San Marcos Police Department has completed their investigation of a traffic stop that ended with the death of a dog. State group’s annual conference here

KYLE — When you’re the president of the organization, maybe you can hold the annual conference wherever you want. Hays CISD Secretary Joe Muñoz is president of the Mexican American School Board Association (MASBA). That means MASBA is holding its annual conference here.
MASBA will convene with more than 200 school board members from all around Texas for its annual conference at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center (PAC) this coming Thursday through Saturday. The theme for this year’s convention is “Changing the Cycle for All Texas Children.”
Said Muñoz in his invitation to the membership, “The problem with today’s student is not the color of his skin. It’s the economic conditions of his home environment that have been overlooked.”
