Officer in dog death gets oral reprimand, counseling
San Marcos Police Department has completed their investigation of a traffic stop that ended with the death of a dog. Local resident Michael Gonzalez and his girlfriend, Krystal Hernandez, were rushing their teacup poodle, Missy, to a veterinary clinic in New Braunfels to save their life-threatened “baby”.

Texas State offers football clinic for women

The Texas State University football coaching staff will conduct a Football 101 Women’s Clinic on Thursday, July 31. Bobcat head coach Brad Wright and his coaching staff will discuss football X’s and O’s to interested women.
The clinic will be held inside the Sac N’ Pac Room of the End Zone Complex at Bobcat Stadium from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The clinic costs $25 per person and includes a free T-Shirt and a chance to win door prizes. In addition, food and refreshments will be served.
