State Representative Patrick Rose surprises Mayor Narviaz with award

STATE HONORS-In a surprise presentation, State Representative Patrick Rose presents a congratulatory resolution from the Texas House of Representatives to Mayor Susan Narvaiz on her recent selection by the Austin Business Journal for its “Profiles in Power Award.” Citing Mayor Narvaiz’s governmental leadership, business achievements and volunteerism, Rose surprised the Mayor with the citation at Tuesday’s (Sept. 2) City Council meeting in San Marcos. Joining the applause are Council Members Daniel Guerrero and John Thomaides.

    Yes, way to go Susan! San Marcos is truly lucky and blessed to have you as Mayor! While the economy on the national scene has been bad, your leadership has helped steer San Marcos forward and our future is brighter than ever. It’s a great time to be in San Marcos, and our children will have more opportunity because you care and give of your time. Thank you for your service and leadership as our Mayor!
